Real quick, these are the games and the versions that we will be playing at PC Wars! (Make sure you come back to this page every now and then to know what version are being played. Downgrades in versions will sometimes be needed depending on what problem's the new update patches do.)
AMD CPU owners: There will be a AMD Hotfix file available at the LAN for those who own a AMD Athlon CPU older than 3 years. This hotfix adds some missing commands for multi-core CPUs and some games that have problems with them.
I will have the patches for each game mentioned here but you are encouraged to download them yourself to make things faster at setup. Some mods/maps will also be available for download at LAN. Below are the games I can host. We will try out BF2 to start then we can come discuss any other games for future LANing. If you don't have it a game, then get it @ the BX in Kadena or PX @ Foster.

Make sure you bring blank DVDs to burn files, patches, updates, mods and maps. Patches for the games above will be available at the event. I recommend that players download the Patches from www.gamespot.com or any other favorite gaming site prior to the event. Some maps and mods will also be available but I will not be downloading them all. If you want to play a map, get them and share them with the rest of us.
*Not all of the games will be played in each LAN Party. Be ready with them in case we change our minds!
You will need 2 more files to update your system to allow the games to be played as intended. These files are, THE LATESTS VIDEO CARD DRIVERS and the latest DirectX (v9.0c) drivers unless you already have them. To find out what your video card driver's version is do the following...

On the first tab you can read how much memory your system has and how much is actually left for games and applications.
Word of caution! Some updates cause problems so make sure you have the last drivers prior to updating somewhere available if you need to downgrade. |
